Background
After one failed assassination attempt and two extensive Military Operations we finally know the hideout of Al-Shishani. He is confirmed to live in a compound in the mountain village Amir west of Chaghcharan. There are only two roads leading to the village, the western one is currently blocked by a landslide leaving one road south as the only passage.
Situation
- Enemies: Few Bodyguards and civilian population in the AO. Enemy does not expect us. IEDs are unlikely.
- Friendlies: Allied Forces stationed in Chaghcharan and Masar-i-Sharif, main roads are frequently patrolled.
- Civilians: Partly hostile.
Task
ISAF Special Forces of British and German origin are tasked to capture or kill Al-Shishani. In any case he or his remains (bodybag) must be transferred to Masar-i-Sharif.
Execution
- HAMMER (2 Squads): Spearhead. Raid the compound of Al Tayek, eliminate his defenders and bring him to the military prison in Masar-i-Sharif dead or alive.
- ANVIL (2 Squads): Fire Support. Build a roadblock south of Amir to capture possible enemy combattants fleeing the area. Prevent escape of Al-Shishani.
